LIMITED SPORTSMAN ERA COMPETITORS
BACK TO THE MAIN COMPETITORS' PAGE
Although the Flying Tigers were popular beyond management's wildest expectations, they were quite limited in technology, and the movers and shakers decided to move ahead and make two moves. One was the creation of another support division - the Hurricanes. The second decision was to bring their headlining division a little bit closer to the departed coupes.

Thus, the Tigers were re-named as Limited Sportsman and were allowed several changes in setup and power that would make their performance and competition considerably more exciting. It was also understood without being said that competitors in the class would try to have their equipment look a little better than the rough and tumble Tigers. Many of the limiteds, that first year, were nothing much more than the old Tigers; but the top teams were sporting better cars.
