When Beaver Dragon's younger brother, Bobby hit the Catamount Stadium tarmac, he made quite a splash [no real water notwithstanding]. With backing from Johnny Bourgeois - the most active in the cadre of Milton men who acted as surrogate fathers to the Dragon boys, Bobby came out with a Chevy Flying Tiger and proceeded to show that driving ability ran in the family. This article informs us that he had already won four features by June.

This
photo shows how Bob had already learned, early on, to look half a track ahead
when driving. It kept him out of a lot of trouble
with the reckless and hell - bent -
for - leather Flying Tigers.
Bob told me he eventually had to quite for the
year, He said he got a job at IBM that required him to be down near Fishkill,
NY. I also think that first race car got pretty badly wrecked [as weathered
photos Johnny gave me attest]. It wasn't that Bobby was careless or reckless,
the photo above shows that he always drove looking farther ahead on the track -
something I am sure Beaver taught him. I believe he was the sole Dragon in the
Tigers that year, as Beaver was experimenting with a Falcon - bodied sportsman
than Ernie Preiss had built him.

1967, when Bob returned from Fishkill.
When Bob could come back to the area and work at the Essex Junction IBM plant, he re-started what would be nothing short of a brilliant racing career.
