May 3 - I will archive soon. I sadly add to add Don Rounds, Sr to the Racing People We Have Lost since the 2016 Season page. I first saw him at the Lebanon Valley show staged at the Rutland fairgrounds in 1961. He left a strong impression.
May 11 - I added a page called Those Roerig Cars, honoring those familiar gold 99's that came out of Round Lake, NY.. Added one to the Willie Chest page, too. Finally archived. This time of year, I have more work to do outside than I can shake a stick at. Sorry, the site doesn't get more updates.
May 12 - I added a page on Skip Roots' Skunk Car, one of my favorites from Fonda's golden age.
May 16 - I added the next blog - Weekly Blog May 16, 2019 - Finally Getting back to Al Fini. I have meant to do this piece for years.
May 19 - I sadly
add to add Henry Van Acker to the
Racing People We Have Lost since the 2016 Season page. We lost him
over a year ago but I had not heard about it. An attorney, he was a
full Magistrate in New York. He and the crew b uilt a beautiful Grand American
Camaro, which he later sold to Owen Wimble, who also had success with the car.
